ORANGE CHRISTMAS
In 2015 I created Orange Romainia’s Christmas campaign which consisted of four animated films and an online web game. The AV received over 5 million YouTube views and the game over 1 million plays in a three month period. It was Orange Romania's most successful campaign of all time.
In Act One we teased the campaign with two ad break book ends, each featuring one of Millidge and Doig alone playing a piano.
Act Two ran throughout November until Christmas Day 2015. It saw Millidge and Doig joyously reunited to the tune of 'Two of a Kind' by Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer.
Here's a little fan video of the game that we created which launched alongside the TV ads. It encouraged people to pair up and get together at Christmas. The idea was to play the piano along with Millidge and Doig as the tune got faster and faster.
PAY AS YOU GO
JACUZZI
A well as Christmas campaign I worked on three other Pay As You Go campaigns. Two were around the idea of getting more than you expected from the PAYG double minutes offers. In this film Millidge gets more than he expected when his impatient and ‘gung-ho’ attitude leads to an unwelcome guest in the jacuzzi.
SANDCASTLE
In this film a modest Doig gets more than he expected as he calmly reveals the sandcastle under his bucket to a stunned Millidge.
CHALKBOARD
This was my first film for Orange that was to promote an initiative in which they would donate money to support young academic prodigies in Romania. In this piece we see Doig supporting Millidge to allow him to complete his equation.
